what is perhaps most inspiring to me as an artist is watching other artists grow. iLL-homie, getback co-founder and my personal lifelong road dawg and bad influence rafael casal has just released his second LP, monster. the album title is probably the best summation for his body of work, but as someone who tripped balls in amsterdam with rafa and slept through most of college because he was making music down the hall, i can also say i’ve watched him evolve from beast mc and def poet to accomplished singer/songwriter and still beast mc and def poet. with crazy production from our other iLL-homie JayFab of the Olympicks, and our very own minister of sound AdaClock (to name a few), you know the album is fiyah!!
