Welcome to Fantom Island, where iLL-Literacy's legend finds its habitat. If you've happened upon this portal, may we be as bold as to assert that nested in you is a healthy curiosity. Whether you were drawn here by the Slanted i at this page's 1-o-clock, the quick flash of during loading, or simply because you have a click-happy finger – you've arrived. HihowRUhi?

The peculiar thing about Fantom Island is that it is but a mirage – an Imaginary oasis isolated in the confines of our brainwaves. We shall gradually reveal morsels of our folklore here, so please visit often. To return, simply bring your Imagination as your passport.

ILL-EVENT TONIGHT | NYC: Eastern Standard Time

091119_est

Two months into being New Yorkers and I’ve managed to keep my “hella” tight and intact.  It’s my “hella” and no aggressive-ass-honk-at-you-at-a-red-light-never-say-excuse-me punk “mad” is gonna take that from me!  Nahmsayinson!? Whether it’s healthy or not, for the most part we’ve nestled into being very much around Ruby, Sabzi, Ali, and other West Coastians who can complain with us about how cold it is outside even though it’s still only in the 60′s.

The tribal gathering of these peoples exists in the monthly EST, sister-event to San Francisco’s legendary PST.  And we’ll be there tonight, around other human beings, trying take a break from thinking about the record we just released, meeting nice people, accidentally blurting out “SO HAVE YOU HEARD MY ALBUM YET?” during a most inappropriate time, and sitting in awkward silence on the night train home.

Note: I realize that my write-up might’ve been more sarcastic than usual so I just want to make a disclaimer that this party is for real hella fun with beautiful gorgeous brown people everywhere dancing to incredible music, and despite us here at iLL-Lit being severe homebodies, when EST comes around we hop there quicker than a one-legged man in a sack race.  Shaboom.
