Welcome to Fantom Island, where iLL-Literacy's legend finds its habitat. If you've happened upon this portal, may we be as bold as to assert that nested in you is a healthy curiosity. Whether you were drawn here by the Slanted i at this page's 1-o-clock, the quick flash of during loading, or simply because you have a click-happy finger – you've arrived. HihowRUhi?

The peculiar thing about Fantom Island is that it is but a mirage – an Imaginary oasis isolated in the confines of our brainwaves. We shall gradually reveal morsels of our folklore here, so please visit often. To return, simply bring your Imagination as your passport.

Jay-Z + Radiohead + a fly ass b-girl = everything good in life ever

Anyone who has been to Apt. 1LL knows that our speakers tend to blast a lot of Jay-Z.  It’s just the way things are.  I, in particular, love Hova but have an even deeper affinity for the mashups that tend to drop as the aftershocks to his releases.  One of my favorites of this bunch is Max Tannone’s Jaydiohead, an ubersweet blend of Mr. Carter and the legends that are Radiohead.  Max just sent me the above “Ignorant Swan Medley” which is an abridged video rendition of the album, with an b-girl added…how did he know that’s exactly what I’ve always wanted????  Ameezing.

But I must admit, even with Sean laced over the instrumentals, sometimes Radiohead is best reserved for staring at the rain out your window while drinking hot cider in your Japanese Snuggie. If that’s the case, why not cruise through the sunshine with some Mos Dub?  Here’s one for the road:
