I’ve been waiting for Do D.A.T.’s Oakland in Blue project for a hot minute now. Not only does it offer the jazzy laid-back feel of old school pre-hyphy days in the Bay, Do D.A.T.’s lyricism is always enough to keep the mind alert. In “The Bridge,” he calls upon the talents of the Bay’s own Melina Jones, providing an oh-so-smoove-buttery joint. Gotta love the great music coming from our friends lately. A bubble’s bout to burst!
