Damn you, procrastination!! As Dahlak said earlier, we had high hopes to record some kind of Christmas music thingie to bring some joy to the world, but alas, we instead had to focus on bringing some money to our bills. Jesus was born in the summertime anyway! In a Four Seasons! Bah humblasphemy!
Well, picking up where we’re slacking off is our Bay brothaaaa Keelay, featuring our homies from The Park as well as Nate Mercereau! Definitely something to coast to…or roast to…roast chestnuts…that wordplay didn’t really work like I wanted it to. It might not have even been wordplay. I need to get out of my parents’ suburbs.
We just got invited to be official artists in SXSW, one of the largest music conferences in the country! Okay, I know hundreds of bands get accepted every year, but being that only a handful of hip-hop acts are accepted, it’s an absolute honor to be among that…I guess going last year under the radar and walking around like a bunch of lost ducklings paid off!
For a virtually unknown group with no label backing, being invited to SXSW is a big deal. Thank you to everyone who’s ever come to a show or downloaded a song, every college organizer who’s ever booked us, and all the fam and friends we’ve met throughout the world. We’re still building from the ground up, and these small victories are definitely appreciated wholeheartedly.
SXSW’s music conference takes place March 17-21, 2010. SEE YOU IN AUSTIN!!!!!!!!!
This is like the Killer Instinct 42-hit ultra combo of iLL-homies.
It’s a new remix of the track “Itis” by Jesse Boykins III, who kiltttttt it with Theophilus London when they supported us at our Crash Mansion show last year, remixed by the Bay connects Keelay and The Park. It can’t be handled!! Enjoy. Embrace.
The homie Keelay was in town a couple of weeks ago for CMJ, and bunched together with Papa Lo, Geologic, Jern-Eye, and several shots of $4 tequila we found ourselves stumbling around a trance club with umbrellas and tiny plush tigers. We FOCUSED, MAYN(!!) Here’s a new video of the good man at work with more compadrés including Thurzday of U-N-I and Tunji of Inverse.
BAY AREA STAND UP! The homies Keelay & Zaire get so damn down on this remix of Tanya Morgan‘s “So Damn Down.” Sweeeet!

This past March at SXSW, while we were flirting with the taco truck girl, iLL-homies Keelay and Zaire were putting in the grind of the century, hitting several shows a day and tearing up every single one. Their new project Ridin’ High is hella fresh. Here’s a new video for “Alright With Me,” and oh yes, it’s all right with us.
