The homie Keelay was in town a couple of weeks ago for CMJ, and bunched together with Papa Lo, Geologic, Jern-Eye, and several shots of $4 tequila we found ourselves stumbling around a trance club with umbrellas and tiny plush tigers.  We FOCUSED, MAYN(!!)  Here’s a new video of the good man at work with more compadrés including Thurzday of U-N-I and Tunji of Inverse.

Between rocking a last minute show at midnight, meandering the streets with Bambu, Phatrick, and the Oh Dang! squad, linking up with the homies Honor Roll, The Beatards, Blu, Blue Scholars, and U-N-I, and filling up on hella expensive slices of pizza, we must say that our first SXSW experience has been quite packed thus far!

So it seems iLL-Lit has been upgraded to last-minute opening act status here in the Bay, and with the dope artists we’ve been getting stage time with, it’s not a bad place to be.  Tomorrow we’ll be hitting the Independent in San Francisco to kick it off for LA’s Blu and U-N-I! The show is a part of Imeem’s Keys 2 the City, a series documenting musicians like The Roots and Raphael Saadiq and their interactions with their hometowns.
